It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas Donatiello, Jr., who was a member of the Board of Directors of Sony Corporation, on June 27, 2018 at the age of 57.
As a distinguished business leader, management consultant, and business school professor, Mr. Donatiello demonstrated a profound knowledge of the media, entertainment, and technology fields. He joined Sony’s Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on June 19 of this year.

“All of us at Sony have been taken aback and deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Nick Donatiello. As Nick joined our Board just last month, we were keenly anticipating that his wealth of media and technology expertise would be an invaluable contribution in our efforts to enhance the corporate value of Sony, and he personally expressed great excitement in taking on this new role. On behalf of all members of Sony Group, I extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends, and hope that he may rest in peace.”
