George Orwell’s 1984 soars up Amazon sales ranking

Looking at Amazon.com today illustrates we’re getting stuck in to the PRISM debate; George Orwell’s 1984 is the fourth fastest moving title in Amazon’s Movers & Shakers list for the last 24 hours, with sales up a solid 7,000%.

Earlier this year, BBC Radio 4 aired a season of Orwell, “The Real George Orwell’, with dramatisations of 1984 and Animal Farm.  Particularly interesting was Jonathan Holloway’s blog on adapting Nineteen Eighty Four and his interview on this is still available on BBC iPlayer.
