Who is Ada Lovelace?

Essentially, the the world’s first computer programmer, so called because of her work on Babbage’s Analytical Engine.

 What’s she famous for?
Daughter of Lord Byron, acquaintance and colleague of Charles Babbage, she worked with Babbage on his ‘Analytical Engine’, and wrote an algorithm to calculate Bernoulli numbers on the machine. The computer language Ada is named in her honour.

I never am really satisfied that I understand anything; because, understand it well as I may, my comprehension can only be an infinitesimal fraction of all I want to understand about the many connections and relations which occur to me, how the matter in question was first thought of or arrived at, etc.
