Up until now, the only way you could possibly get your hands on “The Future of Technology” (depending on who you ask… within Google) was to either win a competition to purchase some, or via invitation by Google themselves. Now, finally, the Google Glass has been added to the items available for purchase on the Google Plus Store, so finally you can buy them and show off to your friends just how much money you have.
They’ll set you back $1,500 – or around €1,150, before posting and packaging – and that’s without any accessories. Apparently Google didn’t lower the price for general consumers because they’ve put a little more effort into making the Google Glass look a little more like just a normal pair of glasses, instead of the entire optician’s room that early testers were left walking around the streets in.
If any of our readers out there do get a pair, please send us on a pic of you in them on Facebook and Twitter.
