Driverless cars have had a fairly rich history of enjoyable news stories here on Ebuzz, but they’re also very much the avenue of the future, with governments the world over looking to invest heavily in what looks to be a safer, more efficient and cost-effective mode of transport.
And, as we reported earlier this year, London looks set to lead the way, with trials being unveiled to test the driverless cars mentioned in the recent push to, ahem, roll out the technology in the UK capitol.
The public has been invited to sample the experience in the London Borough of Greenwhich via The Transport Research Laboratory’s UK Smart Mobility Lab. In case you’re wondering how exactly you test one of these, it’s fairly simple. You get into one of their handsome little chaps and do as little as possible. Sounds like the sort of scientific testing we can get behind.
