Snap Spectacles
In order to continue fuelling growth and expansion, Snapchat has moved in to the hardware business and this has come in the form of an odd looking pair of sunglasses. There are no ordinary sunglasses and the Snap Spectacles can record up to ten seconds of video that you can post online, wirelessly. Given the furore that Google Glass caused though, have Snap managed to make a product that's easy and fun to use that won't draw the ire of the privacy sensitive?

Atos’ Vision & technology in sport
During the London 2012 Games, Atos unveiled a thought-provoking and in some ways controversial vision for the future of the sport in 2020 with the launch of the Digital Edition of the ascent thought leadership program illustrating their thoughts on how technology could radically transform the experience of athletes, TV and online viewers at home, and fans in the stadium by 2020. A controversial yet fascinating hypothesis they suggested was was a suggestion that by 2020 competitions could could stages where athletes compete in the same race but are not located on the same track, the same pitch or even in the same country. Athletes could perform or run in their own city, but maybe appear together as holograms in the same race, when viewed by the TV audience, or even by the stadium audience.

You cannot have that many friends. Social Capital is a limited commodity.
Social Media: quality always tops quantity
In recent years I have had the privilege to speak at a number of different events on Social Media. Typically the area of greatest interest has always been Facebook. The same question always pops up during the Q&A part - “I don’t have a budget for Facebook, how do I get to 100,000 fans?” To be fair, there is not one answer to this question for every industry but I will try to give you an answer that should set you on the right path.
Raytheon predict a RIOT: your ‘predictive’ data
Last week, Ryan Gallagher in The Guardian wrote about RIOT, an experimental project by the defence contractor Raytheon. A Cyber-Tracking tool, RIOT (Rapid Information Overlay Technology) analyses photos and the location data that may be attached to the photos that social network users take and post to services like Instagram or Facebook.
