While anyone with a Go-Pro or similar wearable travel camera loves them for their versatility, more often than not the resulting footage is borderline unusable due to how shaky the resulting video is. Timelapsing the footage only makes it worse! It’s like you’re running on fast forward through a land composed solely of trampolines.
With the use of Hyperlapse – which takes apart your video frame by frame, takes out the shaky stuff and puts it all back together with a Steadicam-esque finished product – you can expect to see those extreme sports folks crisply. You can also use it for the likes of parachute and bungee jumpers to have footage look as professionally shot as is humanly, and technically, possible.
The creators of Hyperlapse have said that they are in talks with Windows to create an app for their product, but no further word on its availability has been made just yet.
