While most other speakers out there are doing their best to be either shiny and metallic, or completely unrecognisable as a speaker (remember the one that was essentially a vase?), Bang & Olufsen are heading in the other direction with their designs, creating the first speaker which uses a wooden surface as the touch screen for its users.
The BeoSound Moment not only uses different materials to stand out from the crowd, but the software involved is also very intuitive. Depending on the day of the week, or the time of day, the Moment will know which kind of music to play to you, while the Moodwheel allows you to dictate to the device whether you want a specific genre playing, or if you’re feeling more adventurous and want to hear something brand new.
The speakers come with a £1,795 price-tag, which includes a 12 month subscription to the Deezer music streaming system, which comes online at the end of January.
