2015 is a big year for Back to the Future fans. The original movie celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, while the sequel shoved Marty and the Doc into the future to this very year! While some of the scientific predictions from the movie have become very much a part of our everyday life, up to now we have had a total lack of the self-lacing shoes that we saw in the sci-fi sequel.
Well, cry no more you poor shoe-lacers, as Nike are releasing the Nike Air MAG Power Laces this year to celebrate the movie’s prediction, but also to produce the most sought-after pair of runners in the entire history of runner production. With Nike having put the self-lacing patent through in the Summer of 2014, stores are expecting to stock the runner right in time for the actual date when they came back to the future, 21 October.
Now if we can just get those hover-boards and flying cars. Oh wait.
