When it comes to the wearable tech, there’s been a lot of noise lately in the watch department, especially with Apple announcing they’ve got their own version on the way. However, when it comes to a competition for the Google Glass, there’s been very little in the way to stop Google getting a total monopoly on the market. But now we’ve got the Sony SmartEyeGlass, and it’s due to hit developers in March 2015.
With some slight differences between it and the Glass – namely an externally connected battery pack, and an information overlay view for the users – it’s also got a lot of fancy tech inside: an accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass, ambient light sensor AND a 3-megapixel camera.
So once those developers figure out how to put the SmartEyeGlass to proper use, it shouldn’t be long until we consumers will be able to get our hands – and eyes – on the goods, too.
