While they weren’t that popular over this side of the pond, anyone of a certain age who watched American TV shows during the 80s and 90s, Trapper Keeper’s spurned a kind of jealousy and longing that we’d never known before. They were THE THING to own to look after your homework, and if anyone in your local school here happened to somehow have one, they were legitimately the coolest kid who ever existed and you had to have them as your best friend right then and forever.
Well, time has passed and kids don’t need to keep their homework inside Velcro-strapped devices that only they can open, since kids are probably not even using paper anymore. But that’s not going to stop Mead – the creators of Trapper Keeper back in the first place – from also moving on with the times, as they’ve created and updated version of their much loved TK, except this time it’s for tablets and iPads.
The updated version has done away with the Velcro, but the exterior is identical to the old school Trapper Keeper look, so anyone looking for a cheap but magnified trip down nostalgia lane, you can buy the 10-inch or 8-inch holder’s from September. And for anyone in need of a refresher course of just why we love them so much…
