Dark is the karneval : Axel Hoedt’s : Dusk
Hoedt’s shows us a view that is a twist on the traditional clichéd view of carnival. There's a beautifully eerie tone, some even edge towards the macabre in this parade of earnest, clean and crisp characters. This is still-life full of lives lived in black & white, studio, rural and urban settings. This is a celebration - before the dark of winter - das ist karneval.
